Ready to take a deep breath with me?

What is breathwork?

Why do I love it and use it for myself?

  • Breathwork has been one of the most powerful healing modalities in my personal healing journey.
  • This meditation practice actually WORKS for me! It feels like a reliable way to find my center.
  • I’ve tried to meditate in the past… and my busy brain and fidgety body always made me feel like I was failing!
  • Breathwork is different—it's an ACTIVE form of meditation.
  • You don’t have to sit still, stop thinking, or peek at the clock. There’s a point of focus, an act to do, and a facilitator (Hi. That’s me!) helping when you get stuck.
  • YOU don’t have to “figure it out.”  *Exhale and shoulders drop in relief.
  • I’ll partner with you, using my years of training and experience, to attune to you and guide you through the process.
  • In this altered state of consciousness, your own wisdom will shine through.
  • This may bring personal insights, relieve physical tension and pain, release emotions, and offer profound healing opportunities.
  • It’s the perfect practice for anyone on a healing journey.

And for the science part....

  • Breathwork has deep historical roots, spanning cultures and traditions worldwide.
  • For centuries, people have used mindful breathing to tap into relaxation, mental clarity, and self-awareness.
  • Whether through yoga, meditation, or other rituals, breathwork has been a powerful tool for grounding and connecting to oneself.
  • In recent years, the scientific world has taken notice, exploring how intentional breathing impacts the nervous system, stress response, and overall well-being.
  • Studies now link breathwork to improved mood, mental clarity, and even physical health—exciting news for anyone curious about this practice!
  • Research shows that some breathwork techniques can create altered states of consciousness similar to psychedelics, offering therapeutic benefits without substances.
  • Hellooooo state of BLISS (and yes, you can still drive after—ha!).

Oxford Academic & PubMed Central

Additionally, studies have found that breathwork can enhance emotional regulation and modulate neural dynamics, contributing to improved mental health outcomes.
  • My personal experience? Absolutely.. Intentional breathwork sessions help me actually have SPACE to feel (rather than intellectualize or ruminate!) the emotions AND somatically process them. Very frequently leading to a felt-experience of release/relief.

Imagine feeling grounded in every storm, breaking free from stress, and stepping into a life of clarity and confidence—all through the power of your breath.

FAQ's

What does a session look like?

A session typically looks like some time at the beginning for us to chat so I can get oriented to you and your intentions for the session. Then you will get cozy and I will play some music and begin guiding you through the process. I will verbally guide you through attuning to yourself, activating your diaphragm, and help you get out of your head and drop down into your body! There are several different “breath patterns” that I may offer you based on what the intention is for the session. Sessions are set to music and are an active form of meditation. Which means- no, you do not have to sit with your legs crossed and your hands on your knees perfectly still. You are actually encouraged to shift and move as your nervous system releases and resets! Hands-on cueing may be offered but is not required nor given without consent.
At the end of the session I will guide you back “up” out of the meditative space and give you a few minutes to jot down anything you want to remember or further reflect on. I will also be available for you to share if verbal processing is your thing!

FAQ's

Different types of sessions?

I offer two types of breathwork sessions: Meditative and Integrative. The primary difference between the two is length of session.

FAQ's

What is Meditative Breathwork?

A meditative breathwork session is a 60 minute appointment. Approximately 30-40 minutes of that time will be spent in the active breathing with 10 minutes at the beginning and end for chatting. Meditative sessions are perfect for decompressing from a stressful time, for quieting a chaotic brain and having the opportunity to hear your own inner wisdom, for resourcing and centering. Each session is carefully crafted and personalized.

FAQ's

What is Integrative Breathwork?

Integrative sessions are approximately 30 minute sessions, but are only about 8 minutes of active work! These are PERFECT for reorienting/recentering throughout the day. Many people like to schedule these on lunch breaks via zoom, as a way to transition out of work mode and into home mode, or perhaps before a big meeting or presentation to help you feel centered and empowered.
Personally, I love integrative sessions between meditative sessions as a touchstone… it helps me connect to my sense of self when I start to get swept away by life getting Lifey! I also experience it as an intentional form of self-care, as I have an opportunity to connect to my nervous system and bring in some nourishment and resourcing. Siiiiiiiiiigh*, I love breathwork, it just makes sense to my body.

What are Integration Calls?

Healing happens in community. Integration calls can be scheduled between sessions for processing and reflection and support! I'm here for you.

What is your reading hoping for or craving? Show them what is possible if they could have what they want and what their life would be like. Evoke emotion! You can even use specific sensory details. When we rely solely on imagination it can feel abstract. When clients are on the edge of making a purchase or deciding to work with you, they benefit from a clear, tangible idea of what they’ll actually experience. So get specific!
